Payday Loans – Are They Worth It?

Since being in the United Kingdom for a while, I began to note how many people are interested in taking a loan.  I am not sure if this is part of the big economic problem in the country – that is for the politicians to decide.  But what interests me are such products as payday loans.  They are offered by many online lenders and there are no credit checks.  What is the catch?  The interest rates are generally quite high, but is this too high a price to pay for being able to borrow?  The majority of people I spoke to find payday loans a useful way to borrow for emergency situations.

Sell Gold for Cash Online

It is the new way to make extra cash – sell your old gold!  This is such an easy process that anyone could do it.  All you have to do is find a company that offers cash for gold, and there are plenty of such companies on the internet.  You can browse them on a search engine or cut the chase by using a good financial comparison website.  They offer cheques or bank transfer payments for any gold items, even if they are broken or mismatched.  They value them for you and then offer you a price.  If you are not happy with the price then you can get your gold belongings sent back.

The Cheapest Travel Money in Britain

Travel money is important to me and to many other people living in Britain at the moment.  With the pound generally weak against the US dollar and the euro right now, it is important to get a good deal on the currency exchange.  Fortunately, you can find excellent travel money companies online – they offer really competitive rates and are much cheaper than the airport currency services.  Just have a look and compare the rates, you will see how good they are!  You can request to have your travel money delivered to your home and most online companies don’t charge commission (though make sure you check first!)

Money Transfers Abroad

I came to London from Ghana three years ago, to study.  Back home, there are really good places to study but it depends on which subject you want to become an expert on!  I really wanted to go to England because I wanted to broaden my education and experiences – maybe even start a whole new life!  My family have a bit of money and I was always talented with writing so I came to the UK to study at Portsmouth University.  What a world away from home!  My family and I stayed in touch via Skype and Messenger, and we would send money back and forth using money transfersThere are loads of companies who offer money transfer services such as Western Union, although many of them can get infiltrated by money launderers (criminals).  I used paypal because of their specialised system which I find much safer.

There are plenty of ways to Transfer Money – it depends on your capabilities!  You can visit an agent like Western Union and fill out a transfer form.  Pretty easy but there are more modern ways to send money to family or friends abroad.  You can use Paypal or other internet services which allow you to send money through the click of a button!  Make sure the exchange rate is decent because they might vary.  Then there are prepaid cards which allow you to get a second card for family overseas – when you load money on the card, they can access it too!  If you want to send larger amounts it’s best to use a foreign exchange specialist.
